The short version: the extension collects nothing about you. It has no accounts, no analytics, no tracking, and no server that ever sees your league. The only personal data we ever hold is an email address you type into our website on purpose.

What the extension reads

Your Yahoo draft page (football.fantasysports.yahoo.com/draftclient/…) — the picks, the board, and your league's settings page, in your own logged-in browser tab. This is how it tracks the draft. It runs only on draft-room pages and nowhere else.

What it stores — locally, on your machine

A cache of the current draft's picks (expires after 12 hours) so a page reload doesn't lose the board.
The most recent player dataset it fetched, so the tool works offline.
Your sound-toggle preference.

All of it lives in Chrome's extension storage on your device. None of it is transmitted anywhere.

What it fetches

One file: https://data.draftsonar.com/players.json — the daily player dataset (ADP, tiers, notes). The request carries no identifiers, no cookies, and nothing about you or your league. It's the same public file for everyone.

What it never touches

Your Yahoo credentials, session, or auth tokens — never read, stored, or logged.
Your picks are never sent off your machine. There is no telemetry of any kind.
It never drafts, clicks, or acts on the page. Read-only, by design and by code.

The website

If you submit your email on the in-season page, we store that address (and nothing else) to send you the launch announcement and occasional calibration updates. Unsubscribing is one click, and we never sell or share the list. draftsonar.com sets no cookies and runs no third-party analytics.

Data sources

The player dataset is generated entirely from public sources: FantasyFootballCalculator's public ADP API, nflverse public stat aggregates, public injury/status facts from news feeds, and our own analysis (tiers, projections, value gaps). No licensed editorial content ships in the product.
